These dangling Bear earrings have been hand carved by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Harold Alfred. He has used sterling silver to create them. There are carvings and cutouts on the hangs depicting the Bear.
Each of the earrings measures 2" x 1" ( 5 x 2.5 cm ) including the hooks.
The Bear Legend Represents: STRENGTH, COURAGE, PARENTHOOD
