These argillite dangle earrings have been hand carved by Haida artist Amy Edgars. She has used argillite stone and abalone shell to create these long, claw earrings. Argillite carving has been practiced by the Haida peoples since the early 19th century.
The earrings measure 1.8" (4.5 cm) x 0.8" (2 cm) including the hooks.
