These cutout Butterfly wing earrings are hand carved by Kwakwaka'wakw artist William Cook. He has used sterling silver to create these large dangle earrings. The hangs are shaped like and have carvings on the surface of them depicting the Butterfly with wings outstretched.
The earrings measure 1.65" (4.2 cm) x 1" (2.6 cm) including the hooks.
