"Grandmother's Carpet" by Honica
Honica’s “Grandmother’s Carpet” series is also an inspiration. She based this beautiful collection off a carpet that her grandmother owned. Orcas: Longevity, Protection, Family
Another great legend to gift mom is the orca. Very family-oriented, these whales most commonly live their entire lives in the same pod. They raise the calves together. This gift would make an especially lovely gift for a grandmother as, let’s be honest, they’re kind of super-moms at that point. Orcas would also make a great gift for those who have two moms, as these creatures are so maternal. Gemstones are also full of meanings. For Mother’s Day, I wanted to focus on pearls. This gem is associated with pure love, wisdom and perfection.
