Travis Henry was born in 1967 in Cowichan, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. Travis is a member of the Cowichan Nation Coast Salish people and his family crest is the Sun. He was trained by the Seaweed family, who are well-known and respected carvers from Alert Bay on Cormorant Island, and because of this his work also reflects the Kwakwaka'wakw style.
His gold and sterling silver carved jewellery can be found in collections in Japan, the United States, Europe, Australia, and his native Canada.
Travis currently lives in Langford, British Columbia with his young family.
