Minori Takagi

Modern Japanese and Canadian artist Minori Takagi was born in Shizuoka, Japan, a small town one hour outside of Tokyo. Growing u, Minori would watch her grandmother craft beautiful dresses that would go on to inspire her artistry. In 1997, Takagi found a glass exhibition in her hometown and began learning about Tombodama. This ancient Japanese glassblowing technique allows an artist to create intricate designs with two or more colors in a single bead.
