The Seer and International Women's Day

This International Women's Day we want to pay tribute to one of our most beloved jewellery pieces created by Haida artist Gina Mae Schubert. In her work, Gina focuses primarily on highlighting the words of the divine feminine and encapsulating the soul of matriarchy. 

International Women's day represents the progress of women's rights and is a way to call to continue for further action in gender equality. The Seer holds an important message in relation to not only International Women's Day but every single day as women. The message of The Seer is described by Gina as:

She has a diamond on her
Forehead, she takes guidance
from her intuition and her heart
not her eyes
Her mouth is holding a diamond
she has been silenced
so, she speaks truth to power
and uses her divine voice to
care for her children,
her community and all of mankind
she speaks from this intuition
and ancestral knowledge
She has a deep knowing,
she knows things that other
people do not know,
she sees beyond her eyes
She will not be destroyed
because she is the voice and
the wisdom of our Mother
