Spirit Beads | Styling with 2025 Trends

At Artina's, we are proud to hold a collection of various spirit beads created by many unique Indigenous artists. Artists include, Travis Henry, Hollie Bartlett, and Gilbert Pat. In this blog, we want to acknowledge one of our favourite types of jewellery that we carry in our store--Spirit Beads!

What makes spirit beads unique and like no other piece of jewellery is how intricately detailed such a small charm can be. Engraved with most Indigenous legends, these small sterling silver beads tell a story.

As 2025 is coming to an end, we have so many timeless trends that we're taking into 2026! All of which include Spirit Beads!

Thick Chains & Layering

Not only has layering necklaces together been an ongoing trend for some time now, but recently chunkier and more statement type necklaces have been included into the mix. Aside from micro trends, some of the more foundational trends that have already made their way back are things like the whimsical goth 90's: An aesthetic that blends 90's bohemian with gothic romanticism, and the Y2K revival: which includes fashion styled by early 2000's icons--both of which involve a lot of layering and statement pieces!

If you want to follow the on going trends of 2025 for layering, you can use the spirit beads on the smallest chain, and pair it with a larger statement pendant. This style of layering is very popular with the whimsical goth 90's trend, and has become more of a mainstream staple in things like Vogue & street fashion too!

Another way of styling spirit beads with multiple necklaces, is doubling up on beads, and placing them on different chains! 

Charm Bracelets 

One of the biggest trends that surfaced in 2024, and is still popular and thriving and making its way into 2026--is charm bracelets. From Italian charms to maximalist ones, this trend is not going away any time soon. 

Spirit beads are the perfect fit for this kind of trend. You can easily place these smaller spirit bead charms into the middle of your decked out chain as the statement of the whole bracelet!

Stacking lots of metal cuffs and skinnier chains, making a layered bracelet look, is also something that is becoming more and more popular as 2025 comes to an end!

Charm Necklaces

Bracelets aren't always everyone's "cup of tea", which is why you can't go wrong with the perfect charm necklace! With more space to add charms than a bracelet, charm necklaces have not only become a staple that everyone should have in their wardrobe in 2025, but a trend that has become timeless. 

Bag Charms (our honorable mention)

Our final trend idea for spirit beads is one of the most booming trends of this year to date. Although not jewellery centered, a lot of bag charms are beaded or made with chains and jewellery!
