Valeria Martinez

Valeria Martinez is a full-time jewellery artist currently residing on Vancouver Island. She was born and raised in Argentina where she became fascinated with the tradition of using organic materials, in particular horn, in the creation of objects. Valeria attended the Rosario Conservatory of Music where she pursued classical flute studies. Her passion for jewellery never left her though and it eventually led her to the Alberta University of the Arts to hone her metal-smithing skills. She has been a full-time jeweller for the past 15 years in her beautiful Highlands studio where she is surrounded by the unlimited inspiration of nature
